About Chicago BWP:
Prison libraries are woefully underfunded and understocked, and it can be difficult for inmates to find the information and entertainment that they’re searching for. Whether it’s literature about living with HIV/AIDS or lesbian vampire erotica or Bibles in Spanish, ChicagoBWP tries to supply the books that these women need, to connect with them, to assure them that they have not been forsaken by the world beyond prison.
A few weeks ago I attended the Midwest Gaming Classic in Oconomowoc, WI. Overall the Gaming Classic was kind of a let down. There were actually very few vintage arcade games…they were probably more pinball machines then arcade games, but most of the pinball machines where in less then ideal condition. After playing the finly tuned machines at Pinball Expo it is easy to get spoiled. There were some cool vintage home systems on display and a crazy vendor room full with every type of console game you could want . As always I had the trusty camera out to get some more snaps of vintage pinball machines. So check out the photo set here.
Part of being a Dj is fielding the occasional request. A lot of the times this is one of the worst parts of the job, but then there are times when people want to hear something good. Found this under my turntables the other day from a gig last summer. I remember getting this handed to be all folded up and when I opened the napkin. I was like “Yeah I can play that!”

So yo here is the deal friday night you got three totally diffrent and amazing dj’s: PAUL B. DAVIS (UK, GRIME & STUFF..maybe MOTOWN PHILLY AT 45rpm), LeDEUCE (ALWAYS PLAYS SLEEPER HITS!!!!) and LOGAN (Bringing the CHEESE, BOOTY, and AIR HORNS). So all three of us will be fuckin shit up, throw in THUNDER HORSE on the VJ decks ( you know they got baby mugs)…a few live acts and you got a recipe for virtual insanity!

J+J+J is a joyous electronic pop duo from Schiller Park, IL. They play the most unpretentious, friendly, passionately sweet electric pop this side of the globe. Joanna and Johnny met a few years ago at a church parking lot rock show in their beautiful hometown. The two J’s quickly became an item, and started making “music” together. Paying homage to this event, they allowed Jesus to be the third “J” in the band.
