Wow what a weekend. Went on the factory tour, checked out some seminars, and most importantly played a whole lot of pinball.

P.S. If you have lots of money and want to help me get some artist made pinball machines off the ground just holler! I have a rough P.R. and production plan in the works. We could make people care about pinball again! 4REAL!!
I am very excited to attend Pinball Expo this year. I’m going out not only to play lots of Pinball but to cover it for a few local magazines. Pinball has a long history and connection to Chicago that many people are unaware of. It’s also sad to say most people aren’t aware of Pinball anymore. Videogames kind of stomped all over pinball and then as videogames moved into the home with the console wars, the arcades closed and pinball was left to wander a lonely road hanging out in random bars and maybe a laundry mat or two? But pinball is primed to make a comeback there is a whole generation who would be into pinball if they just had the chance to get on a few good machines and if a few new machines came out that peeked their interest. Part of my ideal expo experience will be to see if there is something that can be done about that. Its about time to make that REPLAY happen, hit a few ramps and get a decent dose of multiball.
Monday Night at the Hideout is a Release Party for the new Bobby Conn 7″.
In making the art work for it I was told to reference those crazy Japanese pics of Cats dressed like people and the vintage feel good styles of the “Hang in their Kitty” images. Both sides were drawn and inked with Microns and then colored with colored pencil for that extra special juvenile feeling. Thanks to Cody for digging up an old bubble font to reference. Can’t wait to check out the final product.

Wow! What a great show. Great turn out! So much amazing art; and thanks to all the Chicago transplants that came out and got down at the after party. NYC don’t know shit about juke, but having lots of 4am bars kinda makes up for it..kinda.
