Over the past year I have collected quite a few comics and kids magazines from Thailand. While the majority of my collection is made up of the contemporary pulp horror comics, I have also started to expand the collection into older and rarer books. The subject matter can range from fantasy epics to one page cartoon gags. There are also quite a few comics that touch on diffrent aspect of Buddhism. Some like the one pictured above even get into the mythological side of things. There is quite a wide spectrum of illustrated storytelling from Thailand that has never been seen abroad.
While the echos of civic unrest and combat echo outside my window in Bangkok I dream of a simpler time…a summer time.
For many of you it is summer time and in honor of that I present BEATS 4 DA JEEP a brand new ultra-mix. With pumped up breaks and bumpin’ tracks it’s the perfect jam to blast from your speakers over the carefree months ahead. This new mix taps into my juvenile fantasies of driving through an urban paradise in a topless jeep with fresh out the car wash crome thumpin’ a bass and beat heavy mix. So I present to you BEATS 4 DA JEEP.

Some nice press coverage of projects I’ve been involved with has been turning up this month. Computer Arts Thailand just ran a feature on the free size show I curated for apexart.
There was also a nice write up of the show in Go Play
Also Thai street fashion bible Cheeze just published an entire issue focusing on t-shirts and one of my recent designs for THEODDYSSE made the cut.
here is a little blow up of the pic:
As for the film! The free size documentary is up on youtube!
A very special thanks goes out to Op Sudasna for putting this documentary together.
Right now in Bangkok anything “Green” or “Eco-themed” is moving fast. Working with that in mind I kicked out a few designs for the Oddyssee.
There is a one color design featuring a crying Morrissey among other things. Had to go for the Smiths reference with the catch phrase “How Soon is Now.” It sounds kinda eco?
Today just in time for the Mob-F opening gala we finished the “Reduce Global Warming” tee. This design is two color and features, bicycles, hearts & rainbows, a fat fluffy cat, and the earth. How can it not be a hit. As of now both designs are strictly for the ladies. So men pony up some cash and let your lady show she loves the Earth in style.
This new mini mix is part of a larger mix cd that is still in the works with a fellow DJ here in Bangkok. Basically we are tying to connect all the dots between vintage funk, soul, boogie, disco and Italo. Not being purists we are also sprinkling in newer cuts that flaunt those sources as sonic influences too. Ideally creating something grown and sexy and danceable that will sound fresh in the over saturated sushi beats and bossa nova covers only DJ scene that is upscale drinking in Bangkok. Only time will tell. Till then enjoy the mix.

A special treat for all my favorite ghosts and ghouls out there! In this 45 minutes mix over thirty terrifying tracks are sliced and slashed together. Guaranteed to place a ghastly grin on your face with songs about Devils, Witches and Death. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
Thanks to the internet I’ve spent the last few months collaborating with the band Brilliant Pebbles on the design for their first EP. Using found images, original photos and excellent source material from the band I opened my third eye to create the CD packaging. Its been a true labor of love and the final product should melt your heart and mind!
I’d also like to thank the following people for helping with the final product: Patrick Holbrook for his fresh band logo and Adam Hoff for the excellent band photos that were my one of my major inspirations for the project. Also every member of the band for all the input and ideas!
